Ben Romine CPA, EA MBA
Ben started his career with The Romine Group in 1994 setting up clients’ accounting records on computerized accounting software. Now Ben specializes in working with agricultural and small business clients. In 2004, Ben completed his bachelor’s in accounting and his MBA in 2009 from Indiana Wesleyan University. Ben is a part of the QuickBooks Pro Advisor program and is proficient in Sage and Red Wing Accounting Software. He has stayed active in his hometown of Columbia City by serving as the past president of the Columbia City Rotary Club, board member of Whitley County Small Business Incubation program, finance committee member of Passages, member of the Redevelopment Commission, member of the Columbia City Volunteer Fire Department, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Indiana CPA Society and the Farm Financial Standards Council. Ben is an avid baseball fan and enjoys spending time with this family and gardening.
Greg Horstman EA, MBA
Greg has 16 years of experience preparing taxes, accounting and business advisement. Greg’s education has earned him a bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a master’s in Business Administration Accounting. He is an Enrolled Agent which is the highest credential the IRS awards to agents. Greg also serves on the board of the Indiana branch of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. Previously, he has served as the Treasurer for the local schools PTA and as the finance clerk for his church. In his spare time, Greg enjoys making memories with his family.
Linda Kirby CPA
Linda has been an invaluable part of The Romine Group for 22 years. She has brought with her the experience she has learned while with Central Soya Company, D.O McComb and Sons Funeral Home, Woodburn Auto Sales and more. Linda received a BSBA Degree from the University of Missouri-St Louis and has earned her CPA designation. In her free time, Linda enjoys the theatre, traveling, listening to and playing music.
Christy Brower Tomson
Christy became a crucial part of The Romine Group’s Warsaw team in 2020. She graduated from Huntington University with a bachelor’s in Mathematics Education. Christy has spent over 6 years at a tax and financial service office as well as having a diverse work history that includes everything from teaching and coaching to social work, accounting and office administration work. In her spare time, Christy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking and helping others.
Emily started working for The Romine Group alongside her father Dan while she was in high school. Over the last 16 years, Emily has taken on various roles within the company. She received her associates in Accounting while attending Ivy Tech. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family including her son and husband.
Chase brought his talent to The Romine Group in 2020. In the four years prior, Chase worked at Poet as a key part of their accounting team. Chase graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration. In his spare time, Chase enjoys hanging out on the lake on a hot summer day with his wife and 2 lovable dogs as well as watching sports and trying to catch the big one.
