Meet the Team

Hi, I’m Ben Romine, CPA, E.A., MBA, the CEO of the Romine Group.

I am a devoted Family Man deeply rooted in my community, driven by a passion for helping others and a love for all things related to rural communities, agriculture, and technology. I’ve served on the Columbia City Fire Department as a volunteer for fifteen years; there’s a camaraderie with that team that bleeds out into everything I do and everything that I am. With a strong work ethic instilled in me by my father, I have become a dedicated and independent individual who always strives for excellence. Always.

My work is not just a job; it’s a calling to leave the world a better place for future generations. I am determined to provide my children a brighter future and constantly seek innovative solutions to solve problems and create win-win situations. I can’t argue with that if it sounds like a cliche because it’s true.

In my professional life, I focus on delivering the highest quality of service, especially in helping clients understand their financial numbers. I am committed to assisting clients through every stage of their journey, from the cradle to the grave, to help them achieve their goals and secure their financial well-being.

When it’s all said and done, my legacy will hopefully be defined by the people I’ve had an opportunity to impact; at least, that’s an endeavor worth aiming for.

If anything is worth a conversation, or you’re interested in hearing a great story about this community, I’ve got a few and would love to connect for coffee or a quick call. Schedule one right here.

Hi, I’m Chase Twibell, and I’m an accountant with The Romine Group.

I was born and raised in Hartford City, Indiana (Bonus points if you’ve been there). From a young age, my parents instilled in me the values of hard work and honesty, which have profoundly shaped my life experiences.

I’m an outdoorsman, and as I write this, I’m excited for our annual “Duck Camp” trip later this fall. Still, outside of Duck season, you can find me on the pontoon with my wife (Amanda) and some friends, taking in the scenery and having a few laughs. That’s me, a simple man.

My passion for business and desire to make a meaningful impact on others led me to the accounting world. For nearly six years now, I’ve immersed myself in the field, gaining invaluable experience. Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working in public accounting. I’m currently proud to be a part of The Romine Group.

In my day-to-day activities, I search for ways to help our clients navigate the complexities of payroll, bookkeeping, and tax matters. I’m working toward earning my Enrolled Agent (EA) designation and continually evolving as a dedicated accountant.

My mission at The Romine Group is clear: to empower our clients to grow their businesses and simplify their lives. Success is when our clients know they can rely on us to handle their financial needs with precision and professionalism. Together, we strive to make their entrepreneurial journey smoother and more successful.

In essence, I am driven by a genuine commitment to the world of business and the people I have the privilege of serving.

If you have any questions, I am always open to a discussion.

Looking forward to serving you,
Chase

Hi, I’m Emily Lantz.

I was asked to pick a quote that describes me best, and I came up with two. What can I say? I have my moments.

Hello, I’m a native of Columbia City, and for the past decade, this community has been my home. My journey in life has been shaped by my unwavering passion for helping others and simplifying their lives. Beyond the confines of my career, I find joy in discussing my family and expressing my creativity in various ways. My father was an accountant; he started the company I work for today. He was a stoic family man who went above and beyond to serve others. He’s my hero, and I want to honor his legacy.

Presently, I’m diligently working toward the completion of my bachelor’s degree. This path I’m on, it’s a family legacy. While some may say that graphic design wasn’t my calling, accounting has always been my anchor. I thrive on delving into complex financial puzzles and assisting people in resolving challenges that have eluded them.

I’m an accountant by trade, but my role goes beyond just numbers. My work revolves around supporting my big “bro” Ben (Romine, as in Romine Group CPAs), but more importantly, it’s about serving our clients. The relationships I build with our clients are at the heart of what I do. These connections drive me professionally and keep me deeply rooted in my family’s traditions.

Each day, the desire to make life easier for our clients and the link to my father’s legacy brings me back with enthusiasm and purpose. Care to connect? I’ll bring my adding machine and ledger paper. J.K., I’m not that boring.

But if you want to set up some time to talk, book a quick meeting with me here:

Thanks,
Em

What do I have in common with the backup quarterback and current starter for the New York Giants? Our moms both make our beds and cook us dinner.

And I’m not ashamed of it either. My parents are experienced accountants, with my dad working as a professor for Purdue Fort Wayne and my mom in her practice. They are both conveniently available when I have homework to work on (I’m kidding), but I’m not kidding about taking a lot of pride in my lineage of experienced accountants.

I’ve always been transparent, meaning if I make a mistake, I admit it, and when given a goal, I do everything I can to accomplish it. If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

I live and work in the greater Fort Wayne area, but I grew up in Monroeville, IN, and saying Fort Wayne is much easier. What started as an internship in 2012 has become a career I take great pride in.

I help prepare tax returns and bookkeeping and provide data entry into our tax software. The Romine Group and our clients provide me with great opportunities to utilize my abilities to help impact the world, and when all else fails, a good attitude and a little kindness go a long way.

When I’m not crunching numbers for our clients, I’m working on my side hustle, collecting autographs for sports memorabilia. I’ve made it such a focus that it’s become my side hustle. So, if there’s nothing worth a conversation for you with the Romine Group, I could get your favorite player’s jersey signed.

If you’re up for a new connection, I’m your huckleberry.

What do I have in common with the backup quarterback and current starter for the New York Giants? Our moms both make our beds and cook us dinner. Residing and working in the greater Fort Wayne area, my roots trace back to Monroeville, IN, though I find it simpler to claim Fort Wayne as my home base. I take pride in my lineage of experienced accountants, with my parents contributing to the field. My dad serves as a professor at Purdue Fort Wayne, while my mom runs her own practice. Conveniently, they are always there to lend a hand—whether it’s making beds, cooking dinner, or, of course, offering their expertise when I have questions.

Transparency has always been my approach; I admit mistakes and strive to accomplish any given goal. If a task is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

My career trajectory began with an internship in 2012, evolving into a role that involves preparing tax returns, managing bookkeeping, and executing data entry into our tax software. The Romine Group and our clients provide me with fulfilling opportunities to leverage my skills and make a positive impact. I firmly believe that a good attitude and a dose of kindness can go a long way in any endeavor.

Outside of crunching numbers for our clients, I channel my energy into a side hustle—collecting autographs for sports memorabilia. This passion has become a significant focus of mine, evolving into a side business. If you find yourself without a topic of conversation regarding The Romine Group, perhaps we could discuss getting your favorite player’s jersey signed.

Open to new connections? I’m here and ready to engage. If you’re looking for a new connection, I’m your huckleberry.

Thanks,
Ryan

"I've been everywhere, man, I've been everywhere." ~Johnny Cash

I am originally from Wisconsin but have lived in California, Arizona, Iowa, Ohio, and Indiana. Life has taught me that mistakes are lessons; the key is learning and moving forward. Beyond the office, I cherish moments with my family and find solace in a good book.

As an administrative assistant, I'm the first friendly voice you'll hear (unless you bring me attitude, then I'm not sure I'll be that friendly). My daily goal is simple—to be the best version of myself and spread positivity. I believe in making a difference by being a caring soul, always ready to lend a helping hand. Born with a nurturing instinct, caring for others is second nature to me.

In the professional realm, I'm here to ensure your experience starts with a smile. Connecting with customers is something I eagerly anticipate, aiming to foster genuine relationships. Let's make each interaction not just a transaction but a cheerful exchange.

Someone once told me you should always treat others how you want to be treated. I know you've heard that before as well. Let's start there.

Hi, I’m Tanner Roberson, CPA, an accountant with The Romine Group.

I’m a passionate Notre Dame Football Fan first and a sports junkie second. I’m the person who thrives on the thrill of competition and the camaraderie that comes with being a fanatic. But beyond my love for the game, I’m a perpetual learner, always on the lookout to build my knowledge and glean insights from those I surround myself with.

My loyalty extends far beyond the field. I’m a “social guy” devoted to my family and friends and the connections I’ve been lucky to build over the years.

In my professional life, I’m not just crunching numbers and doing financials for people. I see myself as a financial growth partner, always striving to provide value to my clients. I aim to help them build financial wealth while fostering enduring relationships that stand the test of time. Versatility is my strong suit in the financial industry. I’m determined to be a community leader, positively impacting wherever I go.

When it comes to helping my clients, I have a two-fold mission. First, I work tirelessly to maximize their financial wealth while minimizing tax liability, ensuring they keep more of what they earn. Second, I excel at managing client relationships, knowing that trust and communication are the cornerstones of success in the financial world. With a knack for navigating complex tax matters, I’m your go-to expert in all things financial.

So, whether you’re a fellow sports enthusiast, a potential client seeking financial guidance, or want to discuss the strategy behind putting the game on the line with three seconds left on the clock and a man short on defense (sorry, too soon and too specific), maybe there is something worth a conversation, and we should connect.

If you have any questions related to accounting, tax preparation, or Notre Dame football, book some time with me here:
