Courtney Shoda is a Staff Accountant at The Romine Group, where she handles payroll processing and bookkeeping for clients using QuickBooks and Pensoft. She takes pride in helping clients manage their accounting needs so they can focus on running their business instead of worrying about the books.
Her path to this role reflects real dedication and growth. She joined the firm nearly two years ago as a CEC and has worked her way up to Staff Accountant, a position she’s held for just over a year. She graduated in June with her Associate’s degree in Accounting and is continuing her education toward a Bachelor’s degree. Her love of numbers and enjoyment of a good challenge, especially the satisfaction of tracking down why something isn’t adding up, drew her to accounting in the first place, building on math being her strongest subject throughout school.
She lives in Pierceton, Indiana, with her husband, Jaykub, and their four children, Harper, Haddie, Haivyn, and Harmon. Their household stays lively with two dogs, a cat, 16 chickens, 10 ducks, and two goats keeping them busy from the moment they get home until bedtime. In her spare time, she runs a small micro bakery, selling her baked goods at her family’s home farmstand.
